Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while residents in the city's east were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles targeted energy facilities, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were hurt.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

He said energy workers and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
