The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in strength within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the rest of the players to form the Questers and Strategists parties.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
